We consume salads in hopes of fueling our healthy lifestyles, but what about when you’re in the mood for something sweet?
The following fruit salad recipes come packed with essential nutrients and well-rounded flavors, and will generally rock your salad savvy socks off with the sweetness of fruit.
1. Snickers Caramel Apple Salad
INGREDIENTS
6 regular size Snickers Candy Bars
4 medium apples, I used Red Delicious
1 (5.1 oz.) package Vanilla Instant Pudding, dry, do not prepare
½ cup milk
1 (16 oz.) tub cool whip, thawed to room temp
½ cup caramel ice cream topping
INSTRUCTIONS
1- Whisk vanilla pudding packet, ½ cup milk and cool whip together until well combined.
2- Chop up apples and Snickers into bite size pieces.
3- Stir chopped apples and Snickers into pudding mixture.
4- Place in a large bowl and drizzle with caramel ice cream topping.
5- Chill for at least 1 hour before serving.

2- Fruit Salad with Avocado
INGREDIENTS
Avocado cubes
Pink grapefruit segments
Blackberries
Walnuts
Fromage blanc or plain yogurt
Honey
INSTRUCTIONS
Combine avocado cubes with pink grapefruit segments, blackberries, and walnuts in a bowl. Spoon plain yogurt or fromage blanc on top, and drizzle with honey.
The avocado tossed in this salad brings many healthy benefits, such as rich levels of folate, which plays an essential role in DNA synthesis and repair.
3-Melon and Mozzarella Salad with Honey, Lime and Mint
INGREDIENTS
2 cups of cold, bite-size melon balls or cubes (use your favorite type of melon)
1 cup of bite-size fresh mozzarella balls or cubes
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
1 tablespoon fresh chopped mint leaves
small pinch of salt
small pinch of crushed red pepper
INSTRUCTIONS
Put melon balls and mozzarella in a medium bowl. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, lime juice, mint, salt, and crushed red pepper. Pour dressing over the melon and mozzarella then toss to combine. Serve immediately
